Fishing Derby '96 Troutdale Pond

The Fishing Derby was a new event sponsored by our tribe (Topanga). It was held at a stocked pond called Troutdale. I volunteered (got volunteered(?)) to make the certificate. I wound putting in way too many hours on it (a common theme with me). Rick Smith made a terrific carved wood sign. Each lucky boy posed with his catch under Rick's sign, we take a Polaroid picture, and put it on the certificate. It was great. Tyler caught a fish with Pete Szabo's help.

Yuck! Tyler didn't like holding the fish, especially the idea of putting a finger into the gills.
